Cordova Public College (CPC) is a public college in Cordova, Cebu, Philippines that was established to provide affordable and accessible higher education for local students. Supported by the local government, it allows many students to study with little to no tuition fees under government programs. While it has more limited facilities compared to larger universities, CPC plays an important role in giving residents access to college education and helping them build better opportunities for their future careers.

The College undertakes to carry out the following goals:
1. To foster, sustain and support the knowledge proficiency, and professional levels essential to employment;
2. To develop the capacity to grow into fully qualified professional leaders;
3. to cultivate the spirit of nationalism enhancing individual and social awareness of society and community and
4. To inculcate a strong sense of commitment and dedication to any profession guided by faith and strong moral fervor.
The College is established in order to:
1. Inculcate desirable values, love and service for fellowmen for spiritual and moral upliftment, intellectual integrity, social and individual fulfillment;
2. Develop intellectually motivated individuals demonstrating scientific training through related academic activities; research and evaluation that will contribute to the local and national development;
3. Train for democratic leadership characterized by commitment to the vision-mission of the institution;
4. Contribute to the socio-economic, technological, scientific and cultural growth of man in a society and
5. Produce self-reliant citizens imbued with love of his/her community and country.
The College of Teacher Education at Cordova Public College offers programs designed to prepare future educators for the teaching profession. It includes the Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSEd) with majors in English and Science, which focuses on developing knowledge and teaching skills for secondary education. It also offers the Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd), which prepares students to become effective elementary school teachers through training in teaching methods, classroom management, and student development.
The College of Hospitality Management at Cordova Public College prepares students for careers in the hospitality and tourism industry by developing skills in customer service, management, and hospitality operations. The program aims to equip students with practical knowledge and professional training needed for opportunities in hotels, restaurants, tourism, and other service-related industries.
The College of Computer Studies at Cordova Public College offers the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) program, which prepares students with knowledge and skills in computer systems, programming, software development, networking, and information management. The program aims to equip students with technical and problem-solving abilities needed for careers in the field of information technology and the digital industry.
The Phoenix Team at Cordova Public College serves as the campus’s health and emergency response team, providing immediate assistance during medical situations and ensuring the safety of students, faculty, and staff. Guided by Ms. Lorefe Verallo, the team is trained in first aid, basic life support, and emergency response protocols, allowing them to handle various medical concerns effectively. Through strong leadership, teamwork, and dedication, the Phoenix Team remains committed to protecting the well-being of the college community.
The CPC Buddies Officers for A.Y. 2025–2026 of Cordova Public College are a group of student leaders dedicated to promoting support, empathy, and guidance within the campus community. Guided by their advisers, the team is composed of officers who take on different roles to help strengthen peer facilitation and student well-being. Their main purpose is to listen, assist, and foster a caring environment where students feel supported and understood. Through their leadership and shared commitment, they aim to ensure that no student feels alone and that a culture of compassion continues within CPC.
The Cordova Public College Chorale is a student musical ensemble guided by Sir Leo Francis James Paquibot, who has helped shape the group into a disciplined and united performing family. From its humble beginnings with a small group of singing students, it has grown into a respected chorale that represents both the school and the cultural spirit of the community. Under Sir Leo’s leadership, the group emphasizes teamwork, discipline, and cultural pride, developing not only their musical skills but also their sense of unity and collaboration.
Banag-Banag is the official student publication of Cordova Public College. It serves as the voice of the students by sharing news, stories, and updates about campus life, events, and important issues within the college community. Through journalism, creative writing, and media work, Banag-Banag provides a platform for student expression and promotes awareness, critical thinking, and engagement among CPC students.
